Nursery Care-Givers & Volunteers Needed Immediately:

One of the first things that catches the positive attention (or the consternation of) visiting parents with young children is a Church Nursery: is it a good Nursery, staffed by qualified workers? Is the area easy to locate and easily accessible? Is it attractive, clean, and welcoming? These are all important elements to a Church Nursery. Our Nursery is a work in progress, and we are currently working at re-staffing it to draw more and young families to our church community.

We are currently without any paid Nursery workers and need Volunteers immediately during the Sunday School hour (945am), Worship Service hour (1050am), and on Wednesday evenings 5-7pm). We need two volunteers per “hour” immediately or we simply cannot offer childcare during these times. Can you assist us one weekend a month during this transition time, until we can fill these positions again? At the very least, can you help us spread the word that we are looking for interested and nurturing folks to take care of our children?

First Methodist Church of Union City is looking to hire (at least) 3 Nursery Care-Givers to take care of infants and toddlers during its Worship Services, classes, and other special events. This part-time opportunity is available NOW, and the work schedule with other care-givers is rotational and flexible. At $75 per Sunday (for a 930am-1215pm shift) and $50 on Wednesday (for a 5-7pm shift), and during special events and holiday services. This position is a great way to supplement anyone’s income or provide extra income for the holiday seasons that are quickly approaching!

 

Interested applicants must:

  • Be 18 years old or older;
  • Successfully pass a background check which includes a drug screening;
  • Complete an on-line Safe Sanctuary Training Course;
  • Be available to work Sunday mornings, some Wednesday evenings, and during special events and program on weekends.
