At every age and station of life the Church stands ready to nurture, guide, and enrich life. This is true not only in the lives of children and youth, but also in the lives of adults. Each stage of adulthood has its own unique blessings and challenges. From college life and the young-adult years, to perhaps marriage, starting and raising a family, college-life, vocation development, mid-life, retirement, and becoming an older adult there are both celebrations to be enjoyed and questions to ponder. We believe personal faith development is important. The truth is none of us have it all figured out. That means we all need the support and direction of other adults to walk with us through life’s journey.

The First Methodist Church youth group is focused on nurturing young disciples to worship with passion, love deeply, and witness boldly. We strive to help students grow in their faith, deepen their identity in Christ, and become confident Christian leaders through scripture based teaching, Christian fellowship, and service to others.

The Children’s Ministries of First Methodist Church seek to be an exciting and welcoming Christian fellowship, rooted in Christ’s love and dedicated to raising servant leaders with hearts for God and minds for Christ. Through engaging Bible teaching, worship, fellowship, and service, children learn the stories and scriptures of the Bible while growing in faith, compassion, and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

Children are also encouraged to actively participate in Sunday worship by serving as acolytes, ushering alongside their parents, and reading the Psalm of the Day, helping them grow in confidence, leadership, and a lifelong connection to the church community.
